This course discusses general financial topics that you encounter on a daily basis. Such discussions will focus on topics ranging from managing personal finances, budgeting, buying a car, renting, purchasing a home, and overall comparative shopping.

Course Goals/Objectives

• This course serves as an introduction to three different aspects of the financial world: money management, banking and retirement, and money in the marketplace. 
• Money management overviews various topics pertaining to personal money management. These topics include creating a budget, what credit is, and ways to stay out of debt. 
• From there, the course moves to a discussion about banking and retirement. Discussions in this section include checking accounts, savings accounts, investment options, and how to plan for retirement.
